R2R3 Week is Here!

It has finally arrived.  We started this countdown to R2R3 over 100 days ago and, now, we’re in the home stretch.  Less than one week to the grueling 160 mile ride that our Wishard Palliative Care Cycling Team will undertake.

Despite the heat and other crazy conditions that nature has thrown their way, the team rode a combined 11,838 miles during June and are on their way to completing 2000 this month!

What was this insane and taxing amount of riding for?  Enjoyment?  Definitely.  Health?  Sure. Socializing?  Why not…

One other factor motivating our Wishard PC riders is remembering our patients and loved ones.  Each rider will be crossing the state, Terre Haute to Richmond, with the names of patients and loved ones.  On Saturday, our riding is dedicated to them.  Their lives, their memory, and their impact.

Reason for participating in R2R3:                          I was interested in the message and mission the team.  I have not had many opportunities to ride in a group of this type.  I was interested in sharing experiences and helping other riders complete a ride like RAIN.
