Rose is a distance runner and cyclist living in Indianapolis. She began her active lifestyle in 2008 after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. She has finished three century rides, three full marathons, a half Ironman, and 52 half marathons since 2009.
She is the team captain for Indy Racers, part of Indy Runners and the Indiana state representative for the Road Runners Club of America. She also serves on the steering committee for the Indiana TourdeCure.
Professionally Rose is a community planner and serves as the Director of Capacity Building for the Indiana Association for Community Economic Development, a statewide non-profit member organization working with members to build resilient families and vital communities. Rose is involved with organizations like Health by Design and the Indiana Healthy Weight Initiative to encourage healthy lifestyles and community design that supports healthy choices.
